HAMMER FC
"Where Soccer Players are Made!"

The mission of Hammer FC is to develop soccer players to their fullest potential, and through the game to help each player to grow as a person and an individual. Hammer FC will nurture a lifelong passion for the game.

Player Development vs Winning

More Hammer players have made ODP state teams than players from any other club in the Greater Cincinnati area.  Hammer has a long history of players moving on and being successful at the high school and college levels.  Hammer has been consistently developing players for over two decades.  In short, Hammer FC has a long, rich tradition of developing players to achieve their fullest potential.

At Hammer, we believe that soccer players are made and not born.  Through hard work, commitment and a lot of fun, players develop the skills and passion for the game needed to achieve their fullest potential.  It is not by accident that Hammer players are skilled, our technical staff and coaches work incredibly hard developing and implementing training curriculums that improve both the technical and tactical skills of our players.

At the youngest ages, Hammer works to make children feel comfortable and confident with the ball at their feet.  Our youngest players do not learn positions, they learn skills.   They do not learn formations as much as they learn soccer moves and ball skills.  The fundamentals of soccer are instilled in our youngest players in a fun yet challenging way.  Hammer FC will not place an emphasis of winning at the expense of player development at the younger ages.  We pride ourselves as having the best youth program in the region.

As the player develops and matures, so does their knowledge of the game.  The increased skill becomes evident as our players take the field.  Winning soon becomes a natural by-product of skill development rather than the sole focus.  Our U13 and U14 programs are developed to prepare our players to take on the challenges of High School soccer at U15.

Ultimately, Hammer FC is a college preparatory program.  Our wish is to prepare our players to be able to play at the college level.  We have had much success in this endeavor.

Please look through the pages within Hammer’s "Player Development" section.  We hope that you get a better understanding of why we believe we offer that best training and development in the Greater Cincinnati area.
