Thank you to all the college coaches, teams, referees and volunteers for helping to make the 2010 adidas Blue Chip Showcase Tournament a huge success! Although we faced the threat of poor weather we were able to play all the games and the fields held up very well. A special thank you needs to go out the staff at the City of Oxford for preparing the fields and keeping them playable.

Hammer FC has been hosting the adidas Blue Chip Showcase Tournament for many years. Through years of hard work and commitment, the event has grown into one of the truly exclusive showcase tournaments for both U-16 and U-17 men and women from around the county. In 2010, approximately 300 college coaches from throughout the United States. Since we stagger the start time of each match, each team’s exposure is enhanced because college coaches can devote their attention to about one half of each match before the next one begins. Thus, a coach does not really have to choose which of several matches starting at the same time to observe. Each team plays only one match per day to help ensure a quality performance.
300+ college coaches attended the 2009 tournament over both weekends and the Hammer FC received numerous compliments from the coaches, and participating teams, regarding the quality of the event and the great effort put forth by the Showcase organizers and support staff.
