We are struck by faces of children and families suffering through a devastating event. The earthquake in Haiti had many Americans rally to support the many needy people of that country. While it is very important to continue to support causes outside of our borders, it is also important to continue to support the many children and families in need within our own country. Although we are beginning to move out of the economic recession we have experienced over the past couple of years; there are still many children and families that need our support. There are still too many families living in poverty inside of the United States.
Hammer FC is asking you to help. In order to support our many poverty stricken families, we will be collecting canned food items during the Hammer Cup on April 10th and 11th to help refill our food banks. The food items will be donated to a local Cincinnati food bank that is currently running out of food. The time to donate seems to always be around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but due to the increase of impoverished families, their supply is dwindling quickly. Please help those in need by bringing in canned food items to the Headquarters tent during the tournament; thousands will be grateful!
