Field Quarterly Community Outreach Events that help make a difference in the community.
WHO: The Freestore Foodbank distributes over 12 million pounds of food annually. In 20 Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana counties with 325 local member agencies. Include soup kitchens, shelters, food pantries, churches, daycare, senior centers, and many other organizations.
WHAT: Hammer Help: Food items needed: canned meat products (tuna, chicken, ham, spaghetti with meatballs, chili with meat and beans, beef stew, beans and wieners, etc.) peanut butter, canned vegetables and fruits. Other non-perishable items needed include: canned soups, mac & cheese, personal care items (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste/brush, feminine hygiene products, disposable diapers). No glass items.
WHEN/HOW: Date: TBD: Announce: Then FSFB will drop-off and collect barrels.

WHO: Special Olympics was founded on the belief that people with mental retardation can learn, enjoy, and benefit from participation in individual and team sports. Special Olympics tries to provide year round sports training and the best in athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children eight years of age and older, as well as adults with mental retardation.
WHAT: 15th Annual Special Olympics Regional Soccer Tournament sponsored by adidas and Hammer FC.
WHEN/HOW: Special Olympics Tournament on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Hammer Soccer Field. The tournament will consist of Special Olympics Soccer Teams from Kentucky and Ohio playing against each other. It is our way to showcase Special Olympics athletes playing the game they love -- soccer.

WHO: The Be The Match Soccer Marrowthon sponsored by Jewish Hospital - Mercy Health Partners and hosted by the Southern Ohio Soccer Clubs, brings players, teams, parents, coaches and community members together to raise awareness/ funding for a life-saving cause.
WHAT: The Marrowthon highlights the importance of service to others while engaging players in an unforgettable 24-hour soccer extravaganza. Players/coaches of the Southern Ohio Soccer Clubs will work together to support both the clubs and Be The Match®. Be The Match helps patients receive the marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant they need. Every year, more than 10,000 patients are diagnosed with life-threatening diseases such as leukemia or lymphoma for which a marrow or cord blood transplant from an unrelated donor may be their best or only hope for a cure. Most patients (about 70 percent) in need of a transplant do not have a matching donor in their family.
WHEN/HOW: August 6th, 2011 Teams usually play at Lebanon Soccer Complex over 24 Hour period. Sponsors, activities and entertainment included.
