William "Buck" Lally Named Hammer FC General Manager
Classics Hammer FC is extremely pleased to announce that Buck Lally, currently Men’s U14 – U18 Director of Coaching, has been promoted the role of Classics Hammer General Manager. Coach Lally will also retain his role of Men’s Director of Coaching. Not only will Coach Lally continue to build our Men’s program but he will also be responsible for all soccer related decisions and our professional staff. We are very fortunate to have Buck leading Classics Hammer FC.
Buck came to Classics Hammer FC by way of the Texans. Buck hit the ground running by creating a more comprehensive College Recruiting process (“Hammer University”) and by aggressively driving acceptance of Cincinnati’s only WPSL team.
He has done a great job of instilling new energy and new aggressive thinking into Classics Hammer FC. We look for many great things to come from Buck as he takes the helm at Hammer.
“First, I would like to thank the Board of Directors at Hammer FC for this wonderful opportunity. When I first joined the club upon my move from Texas, I knew I was coming into a close knit group of coaches who truly cared about the player and their development. I was greatly surprised to see how much they actually thrived on it and how they loved and celebrated each individual players’ success clubwide. No player is an individual here; they are a vital part of Hammer FC and every one of our staff members cherishes all of them. With coaches like Clay Revis, Thom Nickley and Bob Downs one can’t help but be enthused about this game and take that same passion into their play. Our kids see this and they love it. That is the reason I am here.”
